The Kinect Art Project
Was a presentation I put together under a week to get a job at WPP’s VML.
The brief was to help push Kinect and give its sales some momentium allowing it to reach the reluctant consumers. My idea is simple. Get people doing something together. And in doing so; create an exclusive, cool, collective that people wanted to join.

I set to accomplished this by creating a community art project to - ‘Paint the World’. Using Bing’s maps the user would chose an area of land, presumable something personal, and then paint over that area using the motion sensors built-in the Kinect.

The user was rewarded with a simple game mechanic of ‘percentage completed’ inspiring them to push awareness of the campaign, conscripting more and more people to join in the mass paint.
